PCG identified the potential of a high-profile rural block at the corner of Beachlands and Whitford-Maraetai Rd, for urban development as part of an expanded Beachlands settlement. PCG then negotiated the purchase of sufficient land for an economic development and completed its subdivision and purchase from the parent property, as a rural unit.

The achievement of a satisfactory urban zoning for the land then became the focus of activities. PCG has made submissions to Auckland regional and Manukau City Council planning and policy instruments, to encourage the potential development of Beachlands as a coastal centre, serviced by the Auckland regional ferry network.

A plan change for an expanded Beachlands settlement, including the client's land, is now under way.
